No amount of superlatives can do it justice, and even the most stunning of images pale in comparison to the sheer magnificence and diversity of the country’s raw natural beauty. Where else can you get drenched under a waterfall, stand gazing down into the sparkling waters of a volcanic crater lake, trudge across a glacier AND stroll across a beach, ALL IN THE SAME DAY!!!

We’ve all had them. Those experiences which smack us with disappointment while they are happening, but end up teaching us important lessons for trips to come. The ones which make us stronger, maybe just a little bit wiser!

Vignettes from Vienna

Vienna, or Wien as the Austrian’s call it, is truly the grandest of cities. Set along the banks of the Danube River, the capital of Austria has so much to offer. The city that was once the cradle of classical music and the epicenter of the powerful Habsburg Empire is so richly steeped in history and heritage you can practically reach out and touch it.

There is stunning architecture everywhere you look, plenty of museums full of all sorts of treasure, a vast cultural kaleidoscope, beautiful parks and palaces, cozy coffee houses and warm, friendly people. There seems to be something for everyone.

Why then, are so many people disenchanted with it?
