On The Road in Iceland – Highlights from 7 days circumnavigating the Ring Road (Part 1)

Iceland is simply incredible…!

No amount of superlatives can do it justice, and even the most stunning of images pale in comparison to the sheer magnificence and diversity of the country’s raw natural beauty. Where else can you get drenched under a waterfall, stand gazing down into the sparkling waters of a volcanic crater lake, trudge across a glacier AND stroll across a beach, ALL IN THE SAME DAY!!!

Russia through Instagram – A Photo Essay

Russia through Instagram – A Photo Essay

After successfully achieving my goal to #Take12Trips in 2014, I had decided to re-take the pledge and attempt to #Take12Trips in 2015 as well. Updates on my progress in 2015 have been few and far between, but that’s not to say I haven’t been making all attempts to achieve the goal this year. I’ve fallen behind on my blogging momentum and have a huge back-log of posts, but don’t worry, the #Take12Trips challenge remains high on my list of priorities.

I’ve had a few setbacks as well: June was the first month in over a year where I didn’t get to travel outside my city at all, and August became the second month in 2015 with no trips materializing. But following quickly on the heels of this disappointment came my biggest trip this year… one I had been planning for months!

Recently coming into the limelight as the venue that hosted one of the most glittering and star-studded Bollywood weddings in recent times, The Taj Falaknuma Palace is a Heritage Luxury Hotel located in the city of Hyderabad, India. Superstar Salman Khan booked the entire hotel for his younger sister’s fairytale wedding, and if the afternoon I spent walking amidst the extravagance is anything to go by, I’m sure guests are transported into a bygone era while resting in the lap of luxury.

Monthly Instagram Update – February 2015

I’ve been missing in action lately, and I’m so sorry for that!
But it’s been a crazy couple of weeks, what with my brother-in-law getting married and all that. My house has been a madhouse of festivities and non-stop parties. I’m not really complaining, but I think my liver and stomach were on the verge of going on strike!

A Walk in the Ruins of the Golconda Fort

A Walk in the Ruins of the Golconda Fort

I visited the Indian city of Hyderabad a couple of months ago. It was my first trip to a city I had heard so much about. A city steeped in history, drenched in heritage and oozing culture at every turn. It was a friend’s wedding that finally took me to Hyderabad, but despite the limited time and packed schedule, I was determined to explore as much of it as I possibly could.
